Important Notice From Your Webmistress
Hello, Robin Christopher fans,
Recently, I have had the unfortunate experience of falling victim to an elaborate money-sucking/virus sending hoax. I received a PHONY email from "Ebay" saying that it had conglomerated with Hotmail. To keep my 2 accounts active, I had to fill out a change of password form. Well this individual used that to get my passwords, hack into my Ebay and Hotmail accounts, and freeze me out. Then then proceeded to use my Hotmail to send viruses to people, and my Ebay to set up expensive auctions for non-existent items. Luckily, we were able to solve the Ebay problem without having lost any money. However, my Hotmail account is entirely unsalvageable- I can no longer access it, and there is no way to get it back.
That said, it is imperative that you no longer deal with my old email account, firstname.lastname@example.org. I no longer have anything to do with this account; instead, it is some psychotic computer freak who is using it to send viruses to people for fun. From now on, if you have to contact me, email me at email@example.com. I will be receiving all future emails at that account. DO NOT under any circumstances open anything sent to you from firstname.lastname@example.org; it will undoubtedly be a virus over which I have no control. Also, if you are a Hotmail/Ebay user and you get any such email telling you about a conglomeration, or asking you for passwords/account information, delete it. It is a hoax.
I hope none of you will have to go through the unpleasant situation that I did!
Secondly, and this is not nearly as serious but still worth mentioning IMO, I have noticed lately that some individuals have been copying my work and using it as their own at their websites. No credit has been given to me, nor has there been a link provided to my site. I am not trying to be a nag but it is just a little upsetting when you spend several hours researching and writing a biography, or gathering pictures and quotes for a style page, only to have someone do a few clicks of the mouse and keyboard and have it on their website, as if they had put forth the effort. I'm not mentioning any names but I just hope you realize that it makes me a little upset to have my work plagiarized. In the future, please ask me before you copy work from this website. As I said on the home page, the screencaps are not mine, so you can take those. But please do not take any written workwithout my permission. If you just ask, there is no doubt in my mind that we can work out some mutually satisfactory arrangement. :)
Thank you very much, and God Bless.
